Important Dates – Summer 2010

  • Walk-in registration and suit sizing is Saturday, March 27th from 3-5 pm at Stonebrier Clubhouse.
  • Registration On-Line begins on March 1, 2010. Late fees apply per NASA on April 1, 2010.
  • Preseason Practices at SwimAtlanta Sugarloaf, Lawrenceville, GA
    Cost is $5 per swimmer per practice payable in cash (preferably exact change please) to Coach Debbie. The whole team swims together at same time.
    • Sundays from 4-5 pm on April 18 - May 23
  • Regular Practice starts Friday, May 28 and run Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday in 3 groups per ability and age determined by coach Debbie. We do not practice on Thursday due to meets. Practices are from 8:30-9:30 am (teens and year-round swimmers who can lap swim for entire hour), 9:30-10:30 am (ages 9 and up, working on technique), 10:30-11:15 am (new swimmers and 8 and unders)-please note the most instructive practice time is 10:30 to 11:15. Ask Coach Debbie if you don’t know what time your swimmer should practice.
  • Thursdays Relay Practice from 8:30-9:30 am at Stonebrier for the entire team, for dates of May 27 thru June 24.
  • Thursday night meets run approximately 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm.  Swimmers must arrive by 4:30 pm for warm-ups and staging.
    Our meet dates are Thursday Nights May 27, June 3, 10, 17, 24
    Last dual meet Thurs. June 24. You can view our schedule on the NASA website at www.atlantaswimming.com.
  • Kids for Kids Charity Meet for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta
    Saturday, June 12 at Marist, 9 am fee includes swimming 2 individual and 2 relay events and t-shirt for all swimmers We REALLY want to support this meet for 2010 as the proceeds go to AFLAC Cancer Center for pediatric patients with cancer in Atlanta!
  • GPRA State Championship Meet
    Friday, July 30 for 10 and unders, Carrolton, GA Saturday, July 31 for 11 and up, Carrolton, GA Qualifying meet occurs in your county of residence go to atlantaswimming.com for locations and dates.
  • ASA Championship Meet at Georgia Tech
    • Saturday, June 26: 9 am-12:30 pm- all swimmers welcome, you do NOT have to qualify for this day
    • Sunday, June 27 FINALS (top times in ASA by qualifying times):
      1-3:30 pm: 6 & under, 7-8, and 9-10 from 5 pm-8 pm: 11-18 year old finals
  • Swim Team Photo Date: Monday, June 7th, Stonebrier pool, 9:30 am, entire team. Rain date is set for June 9th.
  • Swim Team Banquet Date: August 21st, 2010 6:00 - 8:30.
